      HOW TO BULK EDIT SERVICES

      Update many services at once to change a setting or add/remove trainers.

      There are many settings available on Services, and they have an effect on how Fisikal operates. It is possible to update a setting for many services all at once using the Bulk Edit function.

      Use the bulk edit function with care, as it allows all the Service config to be updated at once. There is no undo function.
      For example if the Bulk Edit function is accidentally used to change the Service Category of all the services to be the same one, then the only way to reverse that change is to edit the services one-by-one and change the category back again.

       

      How to use the Bulk Edit function to change a setting on a service

      Identify the setting to be changed for the services by editing a single service to be clear that it has the desired effect, then use bulk edit to update all the other services at once.

      1. Log into Fisikal as a user with a role than can edit Services
      2. Click Services > Services > Bulk Edit
      3. On the Services tab select the services to be edited.
        Use the filters at the top of the form to limit the list and to select all at once.
      4. Click on the Client tab
      5. Click the checkbox alongside the option to be changed to indicate that is the setting to be amended. Make the setting change as required.
      6. Click Update

      All the selected services are updated and the setting is changed.

       

      Notes

      • All settings can be bulk edited, apart from the Service Name.
      • Tags can be added to services using Bulk Edit, but they cannot be removed. To remove a tag either edit each service, or disable the tag and add a new one.
      • Most of the setting on a service are set on the Client tab, but the other tabs on a service are available in bulk edit too; Trainer, FOHM, Manager, Gympass
      • Use the Services report to review the settings changes all at once.

       

      How to use the Bulk Edit function to add or remove a trainer on a service

      If a new trainer joins and needs to be added to many services at once, or a trainer moves club and needs to update their availability for a service then the Bulk Edit function is very useful.

      1. Log into Fisikal as a user with a role than can edit Services
      2. Click Services > Services > Bulk Edit
      3. On the Services tab select the services to be edited.
        Use the filters at the top of the form to limit the list and to select all at once.
      4. Click on the Client tab
      5. At the bottom of the form there are two yellow rows where trainers can be added or removed.
      6. To add a trainer:
        1. In the section titled: ➕Trainer activities to add
        2. Select the trainer(s) to be added
        3. Select the locations where they can deliver the services
        4. Click ➕Bulk Add
      7. To remove a trainer:
        1. In the section titled: 🗑️Trainer activities to remove
        2. Select the trainer(s) to be removed
        3. Select the locations where the trainer can no longer deliver services
        4. Click ➕Bulk Add
      8. Click Update

      All the select services are updated and the Trainer assignments are made.

       

      Notes

      • Trainers are never really removed from a Service, the link between them is just made Inactive. This is to preserve referential integrity for past bookings.
      • There is an option to: Remove all trainer activities from the selected services. This is an extremely dramatic change to make and is not recommended in a system that is already live.
